About the Founder

Tanisha St.Fort

I’m Tanisha, A.K.A “The Pearl” of The Pearl’s Heart.  I’m a woman of God,  creative,  and curator from New York City. I have a passion for personal development and seeing others heal as they find and fulfill purpose. As a woman, I believe community is essential on our journey of becoming.  Together, we can use our stories to empower one another and impact the world.

The Pearl Hearts started in 2017, before it even had a name. That year, I began my personal healing journey, but I felt like I didn’t have women around me that could relate to my journey (The enemy will try to deceive and isolate you like that!). On the contrary, I did have women around me! God placed it in my heart to gather women from different parts of my life, and I hosted them in my living room for an event I called “Ladies Night”. Our conversations about the things we’d overcome were so powerful! The empowering space that was created was something special. Each semi-annual Ladies Night experience surpassed the one before! The relationships that developed amongst us over the years have truly been a sight to see!

In 2019, The Pearl’s Heart Instagram Blog began, where I share my heart and inspire women with my testimonies, the powerful stories of amazing women, and more encouraging content. In 2020, Ladies Night went virtual AND public during the pandemic, and our community continued to expand! Our in-person events also expanded with our annual picnic, and our “coffee and conversation” meetups! And in 2022, I will be hosting our first ever International Pearls Trip to Montego Bay,  Jamaica!

I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with black-owned and women-owned businesses through sponsorships, giveaways, and utilizing their services for our events. I’ve set the tone for our community of women to always be intentional about supporting and uplifting each other. It’s amazing to see it the empowerment take place!  Many have even established professional relationships! It’s a beautiful thing!

I thank God for His presence in my journey, my healing,  and in the evolution of The Pearl’s Heart. The pains of my life have evolved into greater purpose, and has given me the ability to serve with all God has placed within me!  As women, we must remember that our journeys mold us into Precious Pearls, both beautiful and invaluable. We are the solution to a problem in this world.  The more we overcome our barriers,  the more we will impact our societies!

I pray that The Pearl’s Heart is a blessing to you, as you be a blessing to others!

Let’s connect!

With Love, The Pearl
